FOR A FULL RE-CHARGE OF YOUR WHOLE BEING

A YOGA EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER

Perhaps once in this lifetime you have the opportunity to step so far outside your everyday life that nothing will ever seem the same again. Travel not only broadens the mind but opens the heart and puts everything into perspective. A retreat can literally elevate your mind, lifting you to places previously out of reach. This retreat has all this potential and is worth traveling across the globe for.

The small lush, green island of Bali, Indonesia is often referred to as the land of the gods. Everywhere is a tropical paradise. It is a land of ancient temples, a place so steeped in ritual and wonder that spirituality runs deep within the verdant land, the culture and the wise, welcoming people of the island.

This is a unique and intimate yoga retreat, with lots of scope for personal expansion in a heavenly setting.

ACCOMMODATION ON RETREAT

I have chosen the exquisite setting of VILLA TANAH SHANTIH as the home for this divine retreat experience, together with its sister villa, VILLA LIANG next door. Together these two provide unrivaled comfort and Balinese welcome.

Nestled in rich, green jungle beside the island's iconic rice paddies these luxury Balinese villas offer spacious rooms.
With 'rain-effect' showers, sumptuous king-sized beds (whether King-Sized single or double) with luxury linens and swimming pools surrounded by the jungle.

The onsite 'Exhale Spa' at VILLA TANAH SHANTIH (VTS) adds an extra dimension of luxury and self-care.
The yoga shala at VTS opens onto the rich majesty of tropical forest and is fully equipped with everything we need for our yoga practice, so you can travel light.

VTS is staffed with dedicated staff on hand to ensure the upkeep, cleanliness and smooth running of the villa
We also have the 'sister' villa - VILLA LIANG (VL), which is also a luxury architect designed Balinese villa with private pool and three beautiful bedrooms opening out onto a serene garden and pool, is also staffed and gorgeously comfortable.

This is a unique and intimate yoga retreat, with lots of scope for personal expansion in a heavenly setting.
The yoga and meditation schedule is designed to enable you to experience progress throughout the 9 day retreat.

YOGA , MEDITATION & RITUALS

Each full day of this 9 nights retreat will begin in the morning with meditation, mantra and invocation rituals (for peace, transformation, strength, insight, love) , followed by an energising asana practice, including pranayama. The practices are drawn from traditional yoga and also from Jivamukti Yoga tradition which incorporates all aspects of yoga.

There will also be a late afternoon practice which is designed to work deeply into the nervous system through special pranayama, slower, deeper asana practice and Yin Yoga. Yoga philosophy will be shared throughout this retreat.
On one day of the retreat there will be no afternoon classes so that you are free to take excursions further afield and explore all that Bali has to offer.

THE WEATHER IN BALI IN APRIL

April is the perfect time of year to be in Bali, as this is pretty much the beginning of the Southern Hemisphere's dry season.

We can expect long, sunny days with clear skies and little if any rainfall.
Also at this time of year there is not so much humidity which can be the unbearable factor when it comes to heat.
Ubud has a slightly higher elevation than coastal regions and this means it is a little cooler than other areas of Bali.
Temperature-wise, in April Bali sees highs of 31 °C and lows of around 25 °C.

TRAVEL TO BALI

Flights are to the Denpasar Airport, Bali

Flights from the UK will be notified nearer the time but you will be encouraged to book early to ensure a good deal.

NB: there are no flights direct to Bali from the UK. One or two stops is standard and the minimum travel time from UK is around 17 hours. Be prepared...it is a long way BUT - this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to step far outside of everyday life and enjoy a total reset.

There is a simple. online E-Visa process for Bali - this works out at about £41.
